ICWP convened over 45 water resource experts from across the country to share innovative approaches and best practices on water management issues facing our field today. Thank you to everyone who participated!

Pre-Event Activities

  • Participants toured the QTS Atlanta 1 Data Center, learning about innovative water usage and cooling systems. ​
  • A visit to the Shirley Franklin Pump Station highlighted its significance to Atlanta’s regional water needs and supply resiliency. ​

General Session Panel Discussions

Welcome to Georgia: Introductions emphasized key water issues in the region. ​

Water & Data Centers: Presentations covered water demand from data centers across various states, highlighting current usage, projected growth, and management strategies. ​

Human & Social Dimensions of Water: Case studies addressed social equity in drought planning and aging infrastructure challenges throughout the country.  ​

Forecasting Floods and Droughts: Presentations on stormwater management and flood forecasting highlighted the need for improved metrics and monitoring systems. Drought management strategies emphasized proactive planning and community engagement for sustainable water resources. ​

Evening Reception

Our reception was held on the balcony of Dos Bocas where attendees mingled and enjoyed downtown Atlanta views.

ICWP Membership Meeting and Elections

Executive Director Beth Callaway and ICWP’s Board of Directors leadership reviewed activities and budget summaries, leading to the election of new officers and directors for FY2026.
